War of the Worlds - Alright, Good special effects, 2 stars Mr. and Mrs. Smith - Entertaining/Alright, 2/2.5 stars
*Note* I am really picky about movies and rate low unless they are BRILLIANT (by my standards) so don't think these movies completely suck and you wouldn't enjoy them, I enjoyed them I just can't rate them high.

I just saw War of the Worlds, and thought it was OK. Special Effects were definitely the best part. Had some debates about the ending with people, kind of confused most of us. But over all it was a good movie to pass the time by on a hot summer day.

^ I'm curious as to what some of these debates were
Mr & Mrs Smith----LOVED it! It was definately fluff, no substance at all...but I was amused by it. I haven't laughed that many times in one show for a long time.

LostLocke, I agree. Mr & Mrs Smith was just a fluffy action film but very entertaining.
War of the Worlds ending blew, it was so incredibly corny and very rushed.

The debates we had about War of the Worlds is that we thought the ending was rushed and they spent so much time leading up to the end that we couldn't understand the narrator guy at the end. I just thought it needed to be explained better. Devil birds and bacteria and such.

I just got back from a double feature:
Fantastic Four - GREAT MOVIE! I loved it! The perfect blend of action & comedy!
War of the Worlds - Totally different kind of movie! It was VERY intense - like "Signs" on steroids! I never thought I'd say this, but it's better than the original!

saw The Fantastic Four today.....not very fantastic, but it wasn't too bad. I don't go into superhero movies with high expectations anyway, but this one was at least funny. If it weren't I probably wouldn't have liked it.

Just saw Batman Begins, it was totally fucking awesome, best movie of the year so far. I definitely give it 4 or 5 out of 5 stars.
