I knew it was too good to last. It had to happen today, it just had to.
I'm goofing off on the net and all of a sudden I hear "honk!". Someone's blowing their car horn. Then again and again and again. Like they expect me to go to the door because they're outside.
If you come to my house, have the decency to get your lazy butt out of the vehicle and knock on my front door!

I agree with you there.
The only time a car horn should be used is when its being used as a warning. I'd use mine if someone was going to merge into me. But I think that if someone started to use the horn too much, people might not take them serious if something was happening.

Exactly, Jessica,
Also, if there is a big dog outside or if you can't get out of the car for some reason then it's okay, in my book. Otherwise, honking just gets on everyone's nerves.

I totally agree. I hate it when people just go around randomly honking their horn too. Like it's a toy to play with. Bleh. And if someone pulls up to my house and just honks, then they are going to be there a long time. I am not a dog. I don't come when called. I actually had a date do that to me once. When I was in high school. My dad wouldn't let me go out there until the guy came up to the door though!

Eesh. The males species tend to use their car horns to attract the female population. Seriously, I've been on walks and a guy will drive by and just honk at me and then stare. It's kind of flattering in a really creepy way.

Oh when I saw this topic I thought it was going to be bashing against people who honk their horn to other cars (like cars who are not moving infront of them, or when they are pissed off, etc). I was going to say, I'm a really big honker lol.
But I wouldn't honk outside of someone's house expecting them to come out.

Oh yeah....when I first saw this thread I thought it was going to be about big noses.....oooops #08#

It's kind of flattering in a really creepy way. God, I hate that too! It's so annoying, I usually wind up flipping them off haha. I also hate it when a guy is in a car next to you and he just stares and stares, and I usually end up flipping him off too

I had a car pick me up to go to the airport about a month ago. Anyway, the guy showed up 15 minutes early for my 5:30 pick up, and then he decided to start honking.
Er, the worst part is that I live in the middle of NYC in an apartment building. I'm on the top floor, but I felt really bad for the people below me. What was this idiot thinking, that he wanted to wake everyone up in the neighborhood?
